Terms of Use

AllReads reads text aloud. You can import web pages, PDFs, documents, and ebooks, or save articles as you browse, and listen to them in natural-sounding voices — either the voices included with your plan, or your own OpenAI or xAI key. Everything you save stays in your personal library.

• You must be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
• Use an email address you control, and keep your sign-in to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else is using it, tell us.

AllReads is a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly. The price is shown before you pay, and taxes may be added where the law requires.

• On the web, you pay through Stripe. There is no free trial.
• In the iPhone app, you pay through your Apple ID, and Apple’s terms of sale apply. New subscribers may get a free trial; unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it turns into a paid subscription and your Apple ID is charged.

Subscriptions renew automaticallyat the end of each month or year until you cancel. Cancel a web subscription from Settings in AllReads, and an iPhone subscription from your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

If a price changes, we will tell you before it applies, and it takes effect from your next renewal.

• Paid on the web: email us within 14 days of paying and we will refund you in full, no questions asked.
• Paid in the iPhone app: Apple handles the payment, so only Apple can refund it. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.

The voices included with your plan come with a monthly listening allowance, described on our usage limits page. It exists so a small number of accounts cannot use up capacity meant for everyone.

If you add your own API key, your provider bills you for the speech it makes, and you are responsible for those charges and for following your provider’s terms. We store the key encrypted and use it only for what you ask AllReads to do.

What you save stays yours. You give us permission to store it, process it, and turn it into speech, only so we can provide AllReads to you. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Only save things you have the right to use. The audio AllReads makes is for your own listening — do not publish or sell recordings of work that is not yours.

• Use AllReads to break the law or to infringe anyone else’s rights.
• Use the voices to impersonate a real person, or to make audio meant to mislead people.
• Try to get around the listening allowance — for example by sharing an account or running it through scripts.
• Probe, overload, or break the service, or copy, resell, or rebuild it.

AllReads, its design, and its voices belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them while your account is in good standing.

We keep improving AllReads, which means features will change. If we remove something significant that you are paying for, we will tell you first.

You can delete your account at any time — from Settings on the web, or in the iPhone app from the menu, by tapping your name. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that in your iPhone’s Settings.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close your account for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of a web subscription.

AllReads is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but voices can mispronounce words, text can be pulled from a page imperfectly, and the service can go down. Do not rely on it for anything where a mistake could cause harm.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of where you live.

Your use of the iPhone app is also covered by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. In addition:

• These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund what you paid for the app, if anything. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app.
• Apple is not responsible for any claim about the app — including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, privacy, or intellectual property claims. We are.
• You confirm that you are not in a country under a US government embargo, and not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and may enforce them against you.

If these terms change we will update the date at the top, and email you if the change is a significant one. Using AllReads after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without taking away any protection the consumer laws of your own country give you.
